Tinker Bell or Tinkerbell is a imaginary character in J.M. Barrie's play and subsequent novel Peter Pan, and a variety of adaptations of them.

She is described as a ordinary fairy who mends pots and kettles and, though from time to time ill-behaved and malicious, at other times she is supportive and kind to Peter, for whom it seems that she has passionate feelings.

The extremes in Tinkerbell's character are enlightened by the reality that a fairy's extent avoids her from holding more than one emotion at a time.
