God chose to flood the earth and ruin all life. God told Noah to make an ark, and to bring with him his wife, and his sons and their wives, and to bring a male and female of all existing creatures.
Noahs Ark find land
Finally after ca 220 days, the Ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat, and the waters receded for another forty days, awaiting the mountain-tops come into sight. Considering this, Noah sent out a dove, but there was no dried out land and the dove returned having found zero but water. Seven days afterwards Noah sent the dove out once more, and it came back with an olive leaf, and Noah knew that the overflow was over.
